The Vegan Society is stronger with your help!
Are you able to volunteer some time? If so we’d love to hear from you!
Here are some suggested areas:
- Become a Vegan Society representative
Become a contact person in your area. We can offer a coordinator’s kits to support you and get you underway.
- Help to organise Vegan Society events
Events such as potlucks, vegan 101 ‘how to’ type workhops, film screenings or even vegan festivals.
- Run a Vegan Society stall at festivals in your area
One way to spread awareness and reach out to people in your community who are vegan or wanting to become vegan is to hold a stall at festivals in your area. Mostly held in summer. The Vegan Society can provide you with leaflets and other stall items.
- Vegan Society magazine ‘New Zealand Vegan and Plant Based Living’
Do you like to write about Vegan happenings? Can you proofread, or maybe you even want to join the writing team? Are you good at sales and can help get the magazine stocked in more shops or libraries?
- Product and eating out listings
We plan to have detailed listings on the website for food products, drinks, clothing, shoes, and also places to eat out that are vegan friendly. We would love some volunteers to help gather this information and keep it up to date.
- Graphic design skills
We often need ads, leaflets, posters etc designed,
- Website support
Someone to proofread website content and offer suggestions, text, and images. Or if you notice something incorrect, please contact the Web Manager at Claire@vegansociety.org.nz
